Home away from Home

I love this place. This is a cabin located in Sevierville TN. We vacation here as often as possible, and we always try to stay in this same cabin. This is the most beautiful place in the world and where I spend time alone with my wonderful husband.

Carrie liked Gavin's Giraffe so much, she hinted that she might like one in her colors of robins egg blue and chocolate. So, being the wonderful friend that I am, I made this cute little creature. She now lives happily in Carrie's bedroom snuggled in with the pillows!!!
Gavin thinks this is his too!!!

I made this about 3 years ago, he is the first crochet toy/stuffed animal I had ever made. That was it, I was hooked!!! He now resides at my friend Carrie's house lovely cared for by her son Gavin!

Here is the finished Christmas Tapestry doily. The points look a little "off". I think I am going to have to block it again, otherwise, I am quite pleased with the results. I am glad I went with the white as the main color and red and green as accents. Well off to finish my next project!!

Christmas Tapestry

I am currently working on this pretty pattern. It is much easier than it looks. I have chosen white as the main color instead of the green as I thought the above color scheme was too dark. My complimentary colors are red & green. I am about half way done and will post the fininshed doily soon!!!
