I just had to share!! My first Cow!!! I am so proud!! MOO MOO!! LOL!!
I made this for a friend of mine, we are hooked on Farmville on Facebook, and my friend just loves the pink baby calves that you can adopt!! I am giving this to her for Christmas, she has no idea!! I am so excited to give it to her. I won't see her til Christmas Eve, Oh how will I stand it!!!
My Father in Law just emailed these pictures to us this morning. This is the snow they have overnight, 14 inches. They are heading here to Florida on Tuesday, if they can get out of the driveway!!!! Look at him out there without a jacket!! Oh well, the man is from Maine originally, so I guess he knows what really being cold is all about!!
Hi!! Just a quick little note to say "HI" ! Busy, busy, busy this time of year!!! I just love it!! Secret hideaways, whispered phone conversations with my mother, chasing the cats because they feel the must swat at every decoration on the tree, my husband looking in the cookie jar, only to find it empty.... Aww poor hubby...don't worry ladies, the cookie jar is empty because he ate all the cookies I just made!!! What a cookie monster he is!!!
Well, off to work..Mom is doing great and feeling so much better!! Thank you for all the well wishes, they are truley appreciated!!
Sorry I have been MIA the last several weeks. Work has been brutal, and my Mom has been having some health issues. She is on an upward trend and feeling better, I just hope it continues.
She just recently retired (in Feb) and I wonder just a little bit if maybe she is just not knowing what to do with herself. She lives alone, about 30 minutes from me, we talk everyday and we spend Saturdays together, but I work full time and so does my daughter. I also think she is just a little bit lonely. What to do, what to do.................I have been off this week and she seems so much better and much more like her old self. I will keep you posted. Thanks for reading this far!
Well, I made myself this happy little Christmas calendar with FlickrToys, and boy is it cute. Elizabeth from Creatively Breathing posted one of her vintage Christmas cards on Flickr for paper crafting. Well I am NOT a paper crafter and I ENVY you ladies who are so talented! So, I needed a December Calendar for my PC Desktop and here it is..TADAAAAAA!!!
This weekend has been very quiet. The weather has turned cooler and drier, and the air smells like fall to me. It is about time!!! It has been so stinkin' hot here on the West Coast of Florida. My husband has spent the better part of this weekend watching movies, he has an extensive collection of DVD's, and he has watched probably 10 movies since Saturday Morning, and he is still watching them. At least I know where he is!! LOL!!! I have been just puttering around, watching TV in the other room and working on some crochet projects, just some small ones, and playing on Flickr and checking out my other social networking groups online. Not a bad way to spend the weekend if I do say so myself!!! My in-laws live in SouthWest Virgina, the picture in this post is of several of the trees on the back of their property...I so miss the changing of the seasons especially this time of year. Hope you all have had a relaxing weekend!!
These are going out in the mail on Monday to a friend who lost a loved one. There are four 8x8 squares to be combined with squares from other friends to make a comfortghan. The colors are Thyme Green and Frosty Green, worsted weight by RedHeart
I just wanted to share with you a couple of crocheted potholders I made for Halloween. Candy Corn is my favorite Halloween Candy so here are some calorie free goodies for you to enjoy. I like the traditional as well as the chocolate flavored ones! Yum, Yum................Enjoy!!!!
This is my darling daughter, she will be graduating from Nursing School this December.
Have you ever heard the saying, "Don't count how may breathes you take, but count the moments that take your breathe away"?
Well, today was a "take your breath away moment" for me. I was not aware of this, but there is a "big to-do" upon graduating from Nursing School, it is called a "Pinning". The Professor told the students that traditionally a family member is bestowed the honor of pinning the newly graduated RN.
My daughter asked me to "Pin" her!!!! I got goosebumps all over!!! I still have to fight back tears when I think about her asking me. Of course I said yes!!
She has worked so hard for this and I am so proud of her. This is her dream come true!!
I have been so anxiously awaiting this ones arrival!!! I am so in love with this little doll!!! Thank you Creatingtreasures, she is just PERFECT and even more delightful in person!!! She will certainly be "Treasured" !!!
Happy Halloween!!! Ohhh, this is my favorite time of year!!! I just love, love, love fall!!! This is Maeve, she is a just over 18inches tall with her cute little witchie hat. I will be adding some more fall-ee stuff, so enjoy!!!
I thought I would post a little fall item...it is still so stinkin hot here in Florida, but I went to the craft store today and was inspired to start my fall decorating by all the fall and halloween decorations that were displayed. I love fall!!!
It has already been such a lllooonnnnggggg hot summer here in West Central Florida. We spent several weeks already in the high 90's to mid 100's and that was in late June and early July. I shudder to think what August and September will bring. It has also been unusual in that our daily round of thunderstorms have come in the morning and early afternoon, as opposed to late and early evening. This unusual pattern makes for much more humid afternoons.........sigh.
Well, here is to another day of early rain, humidity, and unbearable heat!
This is my kind of lobster!!! This picture was taken at Faniuel Hall in Boston, MA. This was my first visit to MA, and I had a great time. We arrived in time to tour the Tall Ships too. We were in MA for 7 days and my husband ate lobster for dinner for four of those days, but he is from MA, so I guess that is okay.
Aren't these little guys cute? I won't eat the real thing, so this will have to suffice!!
Vacation time!! We are off to Boston for a week of fun and frivolity!!! Boston is my husbands hometown, and I have never been there, so I am very excited to visit all of the historic sites and landmarks!! I hope to have many pictures to share upon our return!! See you soon!!!
I love this place. This is a cabin located in Sevierville TN. We vacation here as often as possible, and we always try to stay in this same cabin. This is the most beautiful place in the world and where I spend time alone with my wonderful husband.
Carrie liked Gavin's Giraffe so much, she hinted that she might like one in her colors of robins egg blue and chocolate. So, being the wonderful friend that I am, I made this cute little creature. She now lives happily in Carrie's bedroom snuggled in with the pillows!!! Gavin thinks this is his too!!!
Here is the finished Christmas Tapestry doily. The points look a little "off". I think I am going to have to block it again, otherwise, I am quite pleased with the results. I am glad I went with the white as the main color and red and green as accents. Well off to finish my next project!!
I am currently working on this pretty pattern. It is much easier than it looks. I have chosen white as the main color instead of the green as I thought the above color scheme was too dark. My complimentary colors are red & green. I am about half way done and will post the fininshed doily soon!!!
I was reviewing the photos in my camera and had forgotten I had taken this....When I took it, I just assumed that it would not be this clear, boy was I wrong. Thank you Macro setting!! (just learned to use this!)
I just finished this this weekend. Measures about 10 inches across and is made wth size 10 Cebelia in Green, White and Red. I know it is a little early for Christmas things, but if I don't start now, it never gets done!! Enjoy!!!
This is unblocked and a little crooked, but you get the idea. Measures 15 inches in diameter, and is made with Cebelia#10 Thread. This was my first "Big" Doily project, most are 10 inches or less. Enjoy!!!!
My name is Anne, and I love Raggedies of all kinds. I have been crocheting for 20 years, and have recently been teaching myself how to sew. I have a grown daughter, 3 cats and a Hubby.
I also work full time outside of the home. I am hoping to post my Raggedies and my crochet items here to share with you all!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!
