By the way, I take the most pitiful pictures...no matter what I do, they always turn out poopy.

Of course I just know she will not use these for dishclothes, how could she; they are too cute to wash dishes with!!!

I think I need to find a fuzzy little bee to put on one of the flowers? What do you think?

Off to Michaels!! (was that a good excuse or what?) LOL

Just a little something fun and cute! We have been under a heat advisory here on the West Coast of Florida the last couple of days, so staying inside as much as possible!!!

Getting some much needed rain today, it is nice to finally have some relief from the HEAT! I have lived in Floriday for going on 40 years and this is the hottest Summer I can ever remember! But at least in the Winter we don't have to shovel snow............yet! Hello Global Warming!!

Hello!!

Hello poor little neglected blog! I promise to spend more time with you!!!!

It has been too hot here to even think about doing anything but sitting in front of the fan! Why, I ask myself on several occasions, do we live in Florida?????????? There is no change of season, the humidity makes my hair do strange things, my pool temp is 90 degrees, (so no relief there), and gee whiz, 81 degrees at 5am! Really???? Come on!!

Okay, I will stop complaing.....Can anybody offer any positive reasons for living in this unbearable heat? Sigh.......................

Well off to work, I have it down to a science to stay out of the heat, hahahaha!!! From my AirConditioned house to my AirConditioned Car (parked in the garage) to the Air Conditioned Parking Garage to the AirConditioned Bank and back again!!!! HA HA!!!!!

Okay I am done....I think............................

Swap Potholder #3 DONE!!

Well, it has been done for a while, I have just been lazy in posting........so here it is, I used Sugar N Cream Twists for the center and the edging....blue, green and white twisted together, really alot prettier in person, the picture does not do the colors justice. The rest of the potholder is just done in white and country blue.

Perfectly Perfect Pink Purse

Just a small clutch for Girly Essentials!! Made with 100% cotton worsted weight yarn, and measures 6 inches high by 9 inches wide. Crochet button closure. Very easy and simple, the pattern can be found on the Lion Brand free pattern website. I have just been working on this a little each evening over the weekend and after work. This worked up fairly quickly and I will be making more for gifts this Holiday Season! You could modify this very easily to just a coin purse or eyeglass case!!!

My New Pretty Potholder

I have put my Crochet Sock Monkey on hold. I have been having trouble with his little face, and in order to preserve my work (this means not throwing him in the trash) and to save my sanity I have set him aside for the time being. I will finish him, I will finish him, I will finish him. Okay, I feel better.

So I have taken a potholder break. I discovered a new color palette from Lily Sugar N Cream called Country Colores. They are just beautiful! The pattern is called "Tried to Look Pretty Potholder" I found it on the internet. This potholder is made in Country Yellow, Country Red and Barnboard Twists. I just love 100% worsted cotton yarns!! So soft and yummy!! I hope you like it!!! Click on the highlighted link above to take you to the pattern source.

Crochet Sock Monkey in progress.......

I don't know why, but I had this strange yearning to make a Sock Monkey. I guess I just really liked how the Patons wool yarn felt so soft at my LYS! Buy the Yarn, a pattern will come!! LOL So, this is my first "Leg" of the pattern, coming along quite nicely....if I may say so myself. So here it is so far..........................

Baby Brianna Christmas Dress

Pattern by Maggies Crochet. I have been working on this for a friend of mine, she was one of 8 children and I recently found out she never had a doll growing up. So I will be giving this to her on Monday. I just have to finish the roses and attach them to the blankie and the dress and hat. The blankie is complete as well as the hat. I will share the entire outfit on the doll hopefully tomorrow.

This is how I spent my New Years Day. It was really rainy, windy and COLD here today. I am not sure the temp even got to 55 degrees today. I know, I know some of you gals are dealing with the snow and ice, but this Florida Gal needs a blankie when the temp goes below 70!!!
